Hi there again, Vaughan here. Another day and another post. Today I spent a bit more time working on a cover recording of Electric Funeral. Like I said in a previous post, I find recording a song is a great way to learn it. I've been practising so regularly this year that I'm starting to really hit my straps.
I'm having such a good time just playing and recording a bit each day that I almost can't wait until the next opportunity to do some more. I'm definitely finding that committing to certain tasks daily is really helpful in building strong habits. It's part of larger strategy I have to spend more time doing the things I really love doing. I have read that even spending 5 minutes a day on something is better than waiting for an opportunity to spend hours on it down the track. It's rare that we ever get a few spare hours, but we can always find a spare 5 minutes. Also, once you get started on something, that can break the procrastination and you end up getting more done than you expected. You might be wondering how is relevant to the band? Well, I want to be regularly producing new music so I want to build the habits I need to make that happen. If I'm not proactive with the band, it would be very easy for things to fall by the wayside. Grave Forsaken is a passion for me and I want to be able to progress daily. Even posting a little each day is making me feel more engaged with the whole thing.
Thanks for stopping by and by now it's safe to say you'll hear from me tomorrow.
God Bless and Rock On!
