Now that we had a solid line up and were playing more regular gigs, it was time to start thinking about recording. Elias was regularly coming to my place and we were learning how to use Audacity. We started recording rhythm guitar tracks for a number of our songs like “The North Wind”, “Death On The Cross” and “The Calling”. We were plugging my Behringer V-Amp into a small mixing desk, then outputting that to my PC. We got virtually no latency, so it was a really effective way to record. We weren’t necessarily recording a project, more just a series of songs. It was only later that we started to mould the recordings into what became the original EP.
