In those days there was a Christian rock concert called Saltbush. It was in Katanning, 3 hours south of Perth. It was the aspiration of all local Christian bands to play there. It always took place the weekend that year 12 students finished their final exams. It was the biggest gig on the WA Christian rock calendar back then. We decided with our new lineup that we could cut it, so I applied for us to play.
