The Saltbush weekend turned out to be a very memorable one. I was really happy when I heard Elias was coming down to check out the show. I was finding myself connecting well with Elias and I was already starting to think he was the kind of person I would love to play in a band with. We connected really well and I just enjoyed hanging out with the guy. He was totally into his Christian metal and he was fun to be around. Matt and I decided to head down together on the Friday night to check out the Rockin' Rabbis. We got there shortly after dark and set up our tent. Then we went to the side stage and checked out the gig. They were a veteran Perth Christian band and they were playing their first gig for a long time. They played well and it was a great start to the weekend. We had arranged to meet up with Chris in the morning and get ready for the battle of the bands.
