Recording "Light The Hall"

We did our first ever live album in my home suburb of Byford. I booked the Rec Centre and  we got Dan to come in a do a multi-track recording. We were beset by some last minute technical issues (of course) but we managed to pull through. Elias had an amplifier issue so we had to use a tiny 30 Watt amp for his guitar. Luckily with it being multi-track recorded we were able to process his guitar tone and sharpen it up a little for the album. That was a good save! It's funny that we did all these shows with his 100 Watt Crate then the night we record a live album he's playing through this tiny little amp. We would never think of using that amp under normal circumstances but it ends up on an album! We mixed the multi-tracks and did a couple of very minor overdubs and that was basically "Light The Hall!". I also layered the audience noise to make it sound better, but it was all recorded on the night. I think that album sounds OK all things considered. I would like to do another live album in the future.
