While all this was going, we continued to record our debut album. We would get together on weekends as regularly as we could and keep on tracking the songs, wherever we were up to. It took a number of months to get through all the tracking but it was a fun process. I was really pleased with the way we turned my backroom into a makeshift studio for the album production. Sometimes I had to pinch myself when I realised we were actually doing an album. Having Ben to guide the process was great, because I'm not sure how we would have gone trying to do it all ourselves. It provided a great anchor for the project. Everything was coming along nicely.
