We started recording the album and I personally found the process very challenging. It was hard to get a decent mix that wasn't being drowned out by the drums. I had hoped with the microphone and mixing desk we would get better control of the sound. It wasn't to be and getting the sound right was very challenging. In the end we had to settle for a tone we weren't really satisfied with, but what could we do? We didn't have an endless amount of time to record. Once we settled on a sound, we then found it hard to get through entire songs without mistakes. It became quite tedious and wasn't much fun. From memory we had organised to record over a Saturday and Sunday. We thought this would be enough, but we got to late on Sunday night with only the instrumental track recorded. We would need to make plans to record again the week after.
