We were all set to compete in the battle of the bands and it was looking like being a great weekend. Unfortunately, Luke rang to tell me he was unavailable on that Saturday. He was keen to do the performance and he had rehearsed with us but scheduling just didn't allow it. The only real option would be for me to play the drums and do vocals myself. I was still drumming regularly at church so I was more than capable. It was more the challenge of doing all my lead vocal parts as well. Chris, Matt and I came up with a set of songs that I could manage on drums and vocals, plus they handled some lead vocals themselves. After a little bit of work, we felt comfortable the performance could go ahead.
