It's time

The weekend of the Mort gigs arrived. We picked the guys up from the airport on a Thursday evening and then had dinner together at my in laws house. As a longtime Mortification fan I couldn't quite believe we were sharing a meal. The lineup was Steve, Mick and Damien. The next day was the IMAX gig, so we would be busy all day prepping for the show. I got into the city at about 9am and got to work setting up for the big show. We had an army of volunteers helping, including Dave and Todd Kilgallon. We had seemingly endless amounts of gear and lighting to load in for the show. It was an epic day. I couldn't believe the magnitude of what we had managed to arrange. As the cross came together then got lifted about the stage I looked at it in awe. This was going to be some show. I was very nervous about numbers for the gig but in the end we just had to trust God. As we got further into the day it got closer to the time Steve and the band would arrive at the venue. I was a huge Mortification fan, so I only hoped the band would be pleased with what we had arranged.
