To get Mortification over we would need to raise money for flights and venue hire, as well as paying the band. We decided to raise this money the old fashioned way. We organised a car wash at Gosnells Anglican Church with proceeds going towards the gig. We also plugged it at our gigs and put a donation bag on the front of the stage. We were pleasantly surprised to raise a few hundred dollars through these initiatives. We knew we would need to provide some of the funding ourselves and hopefully recoup through ticket sales. The goal was to have enough money to fund the tour regardless of how many tickets we sold. It wasn't for profit, it was for the love of ministry and the fact we were Mortification fans ourselves.
