It was around late 2007 or early 2008 that Dave got offered the drumming position in Mortification. This was an amazing development for our little Perth crew. We were all huge Mortification fans, so to have Dave join the band was just incredible. He was going to stay based in Perth but go over to Melbourne for Mortification gigs. It meant he would be able to drum for Grave Forsaken and Mortification at the same time. It was pretty amazing to have the Mortification drummer in our band! Sometimes I couldn't believe the connections our little band was making with the wider Christian metal scene. I still look back and shake my head a bit at how blessed we were during that time.
