The band had got to a point of inactivity. Dates are a bit blurry but I recall having a chat with Ben where he informed he wouldn't be in Katara anymore. My recollection is that I wasn't surprised, and there wasn't really a band to be leaving by then. It was kind of inevitable by the time it actually happened. We had a good run together I will forever appreciate his contribution the band for all those years.
