As we prepared for the talent quest show, a few unexpected things started happening behind the scenes. From my perspective, things were going well. The band was playing well and we had a solid group of people with similar musical tastes. What I didn't realise was that Chris was weighing up whether he wanted to continue with the band. To this day I don't know what caused him to feel this way. From my point of view I was very happy to have Chris in the band. I was the one who had reached out to him in 2003 to return and I thought we had gone from strength to strength since then. A few days out from the performance I started getting the impression something wasn't quite right. I still assumed it would be OK and the show would go ahead.
