1998 was going really well for the band. The next event organised was at Lockridge Community Centre. Dan had arranged it and it was Chrestos and Sanctified. The problem was, I was a mad keen East Fremantle supporter in those days. I never missed a match in those days. Even though I was dedicated to Christian metal, I was very obsessive about not missing a game. The gig was organised for a Saturday afternoon so I arranged for my friend Andre to fill in on drums. It seems crazy in hindsight but that was my logic back then. I’m a little embarrassed by it but all I can say it was a genuine conflict for me at the time.
