Back to the actual performance now! It was a decent sized crowd at the event, comprised of other performers along with family and friends. Sanctified definitely wasn't the music of choice for most in attendance but we got a good response with applause. I think we played "I'll Be Back" and one other because our songs were so short. A group of younger people assembled at the front and rocked out. Many of them were people we had met at our previous few gigs. It was yet another instance of really starting to feel like we belonged in the Perth Christian music scene. These were great days in my life, I was actually up there doing what I loved. Although my drumming days would be relatively short lived, at the time it was all I wanted to do. My heroes were Ted Kirkpatrick, Jayson Sherlock, Keith Bannister and Chris Hyde, and I felt like I was doing my bit to be part of the Christian metal drumming club.
