Things seemed to be going well in the band. Alison was getting a good groove and we felt good. During our rehearsals I had started handling more of the vocals. Now that I was upfront Ben was happy to share the singing. He was focusing more on his guitar playing, so I figured we'd share vocals. Chris still sang the occasional song as well, so I had the idea we might become like Kiss and have multiple lead vocalists. I didn't see myself as a pure lead vocalist by any means, it was more of a role that I felt we could all contribute to. Because the transition was so low key, I could never imagine that lead vocals would eventually become my key contribution to the band.
