In the time that had passed since Sanctified last played I had fallen out of touch with the other bands we had gigged with. I had started guitar lessons and I started thinking it would be good to play some bass. Ben and I were back on good terms and I asked he mentioned that he had started focusing on guitar in Sanctified. I asked what he had done with his bass and he said he had loaned it to Matt from Chrestos. I got in touch with Matt and asked if he would mind me heading to his place to grab the instrument. He was cool with that so I headed out there. Even though Matt and I were friends through our bands gigging, this was my first social call outside of a gig context. Matt and I had a lot in common and I ended staying a few hours just hanging out talking God and music. That was the start of our close friendship that we have had ever since.
