Not long after I quit the band, Chris and Ben recruited a new drummer, Allison Smith. Allison was a friend of the band and she was keen to get involved in music. Although it sounds weird, I was actually really happy that they were continuing the band without me. I needed some time away to finish my university studies but I was glad to see the hard work we had put in wasn't just going to waste. While Allison was in the band, I started tentatively talking with Ben and Chris again after our falling out. It was impossible for us to not communicate because we were in the same circle of friends. Inevitably, the guys told me how the band was going and I was pleased to hear that Allison was getting the hang of the material. I was friends with Allison, so I certainly held no hard feelings towards her for taking my place in the band.
