After the gig in Lockridge, things started to slow down for the band. We had a string of events in a relatively short period of time but then the opportunities seemed to disappear. I suspect some of the places that had booked us found our music too extreme for their tastes. Nobody was ever rude to us, but we definitely felt a bit an the outer after that initial string of gigs. Perhaps we were too rough around the edges and loud? Whatever the reason, we didn't seem to get too many return offers! At the time I had a bit of an attitude about it, but all these years later I realise that we weren't everyone's cup of tea. Churches were under no obligation to keep booking us if they didn't want to.
