Reap What You Sow (Salmela, Gregory)
It’s been said you reap what you sow
And now we see it everyday on the news
It seems we are only ever seconds away
From another disaster brought on by ourselves
We build cities right on top of fault lines
Loan more money than can ever be repaid
We use weapons of war to remove leaders
All the while it’s the innocent who pay

Reap what you sow, legacy of mankind
Reap what you sow, written in our history
Reap what you sow, it happens time and time again
Reap what you sow, it is the human way

We sell alcohol to alcoholics
We sell pharmaceuticals to drug addicts
We let murderers purchase guns to kill with
We allow our youth to consume endless violence
We draw power from nuclear reactions
That we do not even fully understand
We smash atoms to discover particles
That we cannot reliably predict

Reap what you sow, legacy of mankind
Reap what you sow, written in our history
Reap what you sow, it happens time and time again
Reap what you sow, it is the human way

The problem with all of this is the innocent who suffer
For the wrongs of foolish men who came before them
Planting seeds of destruction and then watching them burn
Acting surprised when house of cards falls down
Could there not be wise ones who lead the way amongst us
Guiding us to a better way of thinking
So that we can learn from history’s mistakes
And look to God to find a better way

Are we sowing the destruction of earth
Have our leaders truly not learned a thing
History tells us that they never really learn
And so the cycle will continue again
We just march on further into carnage
It is the only way we have ever been
Let us seek God to find an answer to this mess
And crawl our way out of the mire

Reap what you sow, legacy of mankind
Reap what you sow, written in our history
Reap what you sow, it happens time and time again
Reap what you sow, it is the human way

End Of Days (Gregory, Skipworth, Sallows)

Marching forward in God’s army

Moving on in unison

This is war and we will win

Armour on strong, spirit within

Sword and spear, prepared to die

We will fight on by his side

Looking death straight in the eye

White horse rider in the sky

Armies on the rise, time to pick your side

It’s the end of days

As the demons hide you can see it in their eyes

It’s the end of days

End is very near, march on with no fear

It’s the end of days

Evil will be slain, there will be no pain

It’s the end of days

Now it’s time to make your stand

Choose this day who you will serve

It is clear we’ve made our choice

To stand for God until the end

Armies on the rise, time to pick your side

It’s the end of days

As the demons hide you can see it in their eyes

It’s the end of days

End is very near, march on with no fear

It’s the end of days

Evil will be slain, there will be no pain

It’s the end of days

Kill Your Idols (Hoggett)

Crave the attention, a major affliction

15 minutes is all we want, no matter what the cost

Famous for nothing, we whore ourselves out

The highest bidder takes what they want, leaves us begging for more

Paper god tucked away, the love of which leads us astray

The object of worship, we do what we must

Whilst standing on those who get in our way

Empires built and crumbled to dust, all for nought, but still we lust

Running towards what we want

What’s behind is beginning to rot

Ash to ash and dust to dust

Left behind when the breathing stops

The lastest gadget, that brand new toy

A collection of objects which don’t do a thing

Whatever we want, it comes at a cost

Nothing’s forever except what matters most

Running towards what we want

What’s behind is beginning to rot

Ash to ash and dust to dust

Left behind when the breathing stops

And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp

That he saw the calf, and the dancing and Moses’ anger waxed hot

And he cast the tables out of his hands, and broke beneath the mount

And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire

And ground it to powder, and strwed it upon the water,

And made the children of Israel drink of it (Exodus 32: 19-20 KJV)

Silent Screams (Salmela, Gregory)

I can’t stand being in this place no more

I’m sick and tired of this daily routine

I feel crushed, my well has run dry

I’ve had enough of this stagnant life

These days it is the case that every little thing is getting to me

I fear I’ve become bitter and twisted, I badly need to escape

I’m struggling to find answers within my life philosophy

It seems sometimes the only answer is to look the other way

Frustration making me give out silent screams

Repression is causing me to let out silent screams

No other outlet except for my silent screams

Every part of me is letting out silent screams

I’m not a depressed person but this is killing me

So frustrated, I just want to let things be

But how can I when everyone is pushing me

So I stand in the corner and give out a silent scream

Frustration making me give out silent screams

Repression is causing me to let out silent screams

No other outlet except for my silent screams

Every part of me is letting out silent screams

I know change is on the horizon

It’s the here and now that’s killing me

A little patience and the odd forced smile

Is all that I have to get me by

I ask myself why is it the case that it always ends this way

I get so jaded and by that time it’s always way too late

I need to deal with this situation and make a positive change

I look to the example of Christ and follow him in his holy ways

Frustration making me give out silent screams

Repression is causing me to let out silent screams

No other outlet except for my silent screams

Every part of me is letting out silent screams

Victory Or Death (Gregory)

Life can be tough, but who cares, I play to win

I am alive, and I’m strong, that’s all that counts

With God by my sight and a war to fight

There’s just one dream that I choose to follow

I’ve been through pain all of my life

I ain’t gonna let it bring me down

Through faith I have found an inner strength

I refuse to ever give up or ever give in

We fight to the end, never giving in

We are the victors, it’s victory or death

Courage to stand tall, fighting one for all

We are the victors, it’s victory or death

Those men of faith who came before

They did not hide or run from the fight

They stood as one, yeah they stood their ground

Now we follow on down the path they cleared for us

I’ve been through pain all of my life

I ain’t gonna let it bring me down

Through faith I have found an inner strength

I refuse to ever give up or ever give in

We fight to the end, never giving in

We are the victors, it’s victory or death

Courage to stand tall, fighting one for all

We are the victors, it’s victory or death

Ghost Light (Hoggett, Gregory)

This presence felt throughout centuries

Permeates the edge of the void

Difficult to pinpoint but certainly there

God is like the force of the wind

Every time we try to deny

We see a sign to lead the way

Evidence of celestial majesty

Intangible yet concrete and sure

Certainty of the presence of God

Evidence in the pull of our hearts

Common sense denies yet somehow confirms

A truth we know, all that is sure

Some kinda ghost light

Shining across the land

Some kinda ghost light

Brighter than the light of the sun

Some kinda ghost light

Shining across the land

Some kinda ghost light

Brighter than the light of the sun

We see him everywhere his light is all around

Impossible to prove the presence of God

Yet unmistakenly it is there for all to see

Written in the stars, written in our heart

Some kinda ghost light

Shining across the land

Some kinda ghost light

Brighter than the light of the sun

Some kinda ghost light

Shining across the land

Some kinda ghost light

Brighter than the light of the sun

We see God in the night time sky

The impossible distance clearly there

The mindblowing smallness of the atom

Made up still of quantum parts

He is the alpha and omega, beginning and end

He is the force that binds us all

Coming Home (Gregory)

I’ve been straying away from the things that I hold and now it’s time

To reconnect with my life, to engage with my faith

Lord I’m sorry that I ever walked away from you

I am here to say this time it’s true

I’m coming home, back into your arms

I’m coming home, to where I belong

I’m coming home, to the love I knew

This song is my praise to you

I’m so thankful that you stretch out your hands

Exploring other pathways has bought nothing but pain

If you are not the truth then I can’t face reality

You are the strength upon which I stand

I’m coming home, back into your arms

I’m coming home, to where I belong

I’m coming home, to the love I knew

This song is my praise to you

You never leave us

Your truth it prevails

Through pain and darkness

My heart, it will remain

We live a wild life, with many ups and downs

Striving to meet some unknown expectation

Day to day, hand to mouth is the way I do things

Ever dependent upon your love and grace

I’m coming home, back into your arms

I’m coming home, to where I belong

I’m coming home, to the love I knew

This song is my praise to you

Coming home

Coming home

Coming home

Coming home

Situation Mess (Salmela, Gregory)

Lining their pockets, looking for a quick buck

No thought given to the long term consequence

Are we gonna solve this by printing more money

What will be the outcome of this financial endgame

It seems crazy to me

My mind can hardly believe

How did we get into this situation mess

Desperate to get through this situation mess

And what of Mr Average struggling to pay the bills

Slaving all day at work to feed his family

It’s easy to see why depression is so common

Hard to see the bright side when all the news is bad

It seems crazy to me

My mind can hardly believe

How did we get into this situation mess

It’s time we looked to God in this situation mess

I find it hard to believe

That this is how we’ve ended up

With so much money and so much power

We find ourselves in this mess

They are still wasting power each and every day

Politicians fly first class and stay in the best hotels

I am but a simple man, so answer me this question

Couldn’t we use that money to pay back some of the debt

It seems crazy to me

My mind can hardly believe

How did we get into this situation mess

Desperate to get out of this situation mess

Master Of The World (Salmela, Gregory)

A decade of disturbance

Trial after trial

The lesson that I’ve learnt

Is that God is always there

Living in the time of pain

We have but one hope

The master of the world

Is the one who called our name

Through all of the fear

He is always there

Grace through forgiveness

He is the only one who cares

Disasters strike our land

Time and time again

Yet through his love

We can find the truth

Living in the time of pain

We have but one hope

The master of the world

Is the one who called our name

Through all of the fear

He is always there

Grace through forgiveness

He is the only one who cares

Through flood, through terror, earthquakes and war

He’s constant, he’s stable, he will never change

We must accept that he is our lord

And give to him the praise due his name

In these times of dark

We must stay strong

Demons attack

At every chance

Living in the time of pain

We have but one hope

The master of the world

Is the one who called our name

Through all of the fear

He is always there

Grace through forgiveness

He is the only one who cares

Our lord, our God, hear our desperate cry

This world is sick, we need your healing power

Your love, your hope, it’s needed in this hour

Praise you, thank you, now cometh the day

And so we come to the end of this journey through the mutilation

A study of the dark times in which we find ourselves

The one message ringing loud and clear is the constancy of God

Through all the horror and the pain he’s the only hope we have x 6
