I've made some great progress with my solo project over the last few days. I had a few editing hurdles to get over but I pushed through. I'm satisfied now that the whole album is arranged and the lyrics basically finalised. I have also finalised all the tempos of the songs as well. It's been a while since I personally built a batch of songs from the ground up and I'm really enjoying the process. It's very interesting how ideas change and the song you end up with is quite different to the original spark of an idea. I like to go with the creative process and see where the song ends up, as opposed to having a strict vision to start with. I think having flexibility in arrangements, tempo, lyrics and tuning allows the song the develop in a natural way. I'm looking forward to sharing this material down the track.
