Morning everyone. Work continues on the album release but in the meantime I'm going to continue my discussion on our songs. "In Theory" is the 4th track on "Beside The River Of Blood". The lyrics for this one were written by Tim and I wrote the music. Lyrically, it's about the debate between science and religion. It states the view that we don't have to rely on theories, but rather the certain truth of the gospel. Musically, it is another song I put together sometime in 2004 or 2005. I was just trying to come up with riffs and ideas and put them together. A lot of that early stuff was us learning what we were doing. We were just trying to put together interesting ideas that we could jam on and perform live. As a personal view, I was never quite happy with the musical execution of this song. Despite that, I have received feedback over the years that people enjoy the song.
