Welcome to the official Grave Forsaken website! We are a metal band from Perth, Western Australia. We formed in 2004 and have 2 EP's and 3 full length albums to our name. This version of our site is still relatively new, however it is already packed with cool features. You can watch every episode of Grave Forsaken TV from this site, and you can keep up with all the latest by reading the weekly Monday Mosh. If you've got something to say, we are now hosting our own official forum through the website.
Serious supporters of the band can join the Grave Forsaken Mosher Crew. Membership is free, and will allow you access to the Members Area. Every month there will be a free mp3 download and an exclusive program entitled "Mosher Crew Confidential". Mosher Crew members will receive a monthly newsletter, as well as regular email updates.
Grave Forsaken formed in 2004 and soon recorded their debut EP "Grave Forsaken". The original quartet was Vaughan Gregory, Elias "Shreds" Salmela, Matt Skipworth and Tim Steadman. After a successful slot opening for Mortification in 2006, the band were signed to Rowe Productions.
The band recorded their first full length "Beside The River Of Blood" during 2005 and 2006. It was released on Rowe Productions and launched at the 2006 Blackstump Festival.
Grave Forsaken followed up in 2007 with the EP "Horror And Sadness". Also released on Rowe Productions, the EP was launched at the 2007 Blackstump Festival, nearly a year to the day after the release of the first album.
Keen to keep the momentum going, the group released their second full length "Destined For Ascension" in early 2008. This album was met with much acclaim, and even featured the vocal talents of label boss Steve Rowe on 2 songs.
A small shift in personal saw Dave Kilgallon from Scourged Flesh join on drums and Tim Steadman take over lead vocals. This lineup recorded the 3rd full length "This Day Forth" throughout 2008. During the recording, Tim left the band. At this point Vaughan Gregory took over the lead vocal role again. Some of Tim's vocals were left on the final mix, making "This Day Forth" Tim's last appearance as an official member of the band.
This Day Forth will be released by new label Soundmass in May 2009 and represents the artistic peak of the band. The band has no intention of slowing down, and is already plotting their next move for 2009 and beyond. We hope you'll join us for the ride!
